Treat Frozen Shoulder with Acupuncture

Adhesive capsulitis is what we called Frozen Shoulder.   Typical symptoms include pain and stiffness in the shoulder joint. Frozen shoulder develops slowly over time. It may be caused by overuse, injury, surgery, or certain medical conditions such as diabetes. Most people take Tylenol or NSAID to relieve pain, some people go for Physiotherapy, even surgery depending on the severity of the condition. Acupuncture can be used as a complementary therapy to relieve the pain and stiffness associated with frozen shoulder:

·      LI15 (Jian Yu): This point is located on the upper arm, just below the shoulder joint. It is often used to relieve pain and stiffness in the shoulder.

·      SI9 (Jian Zhen): This point is located on the back of the shoulder, at the midpoint of the shoulder blade. It is often used to relieve pain and stiffness in the shoulder joint.

·      LI4 (He Gu): This point is located on the back of the hand, between the thumb and index finger. It is often used to relieve pain and inflammation throughout the body.

·      GB21 (Jian Jing): This point is located on the top of the shoulder, midway between the base of the neck and the outer edge of the shoulder blade. It is often used to relieve shoulder pain and tension.

·      LU7 (Lie Que): This point is located on the inside of the wrist, near the thumb. It is often used to relieve shoulder pain and promote relaxation
